Authum Holiday is a traditional holiday in Danish schools. Originally made to make it possible for children to help at the farm to pick up potatoes and beets from the fields

Many cities and towns celebrate a Culture Night where cultural institutions keep open until midnight. Not all cities have culture night the same evening - but Copenhagen, Aarhus and several other towns have this event the friday before the Authum Holidays.

The Eremitage Run is held in Jaegersborg Dear Park north of Copenhagen. It is named after the Eremitage Palace which is placed in the park.

The Kite Day is also held near the the socalled Eremitage Plain in front of the Eremitage Palace. It is a non-organized event where private people just go to the park and set up theiar kites.

Prince Christian is son of Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark
